Holy Week Observation.

It's not yet Holy Week yet, but there's a buzz around the country recently. As I watched the news the other week I guess, there's a particular Catholic group/organization that contradicts with the use of mobile phones and personal computers particularly the internet during the Holy Week. There were forum topics and threads asking whether the matter I'm talking about here should be observed.

In my own point of view, people should not be obliged to follow. Why? As we all know, mobile phones are the majority primary means of communication as well as the Internet is now part of the modern communication genre. On the other hand, to give way to the observation of Holy Week, I guess Unlimited texting on all major telecommunications company should be disabled just for the Holy week.

Every Catholic should observe the real essence of the Holy Week. The sacrifice that our savior did to save us from our sins. Holy Week is not just doing fasting and doing the activities during the holy week. This is the best time for us to reflect and repent for everything that we have done in the past and not so distant past. And also to thank the Lord for every day that He have given to us and every single miracle and blessings that He have showered upon us.
